Entering Sonic 1 Studios in 1995 with acclaimed producer Tim Hamill, 3rd Day Rising recorded and independently released their debut “Paper Chains”. This album revealed a fine band in the making - all the instruments shine through quality musicianship, well-crafted songs and clear production. It is full of great hooks, notable riffs and melodic harmonies without ever repeating formulas. Although not quite as eclectic as their follow-up “Spiral”, it still showcases an extremely creative and dynamic band. This is 80s hard rock/metal smacked into the 90s, with varied influences flowing through in the undercurrent. With a 2026 remaster by Paul May and brand-new layout by Scott Waters/NoLifeTilMetal, this is familiar, yet unique… this is 3rd Day Rising!
