After taking a much-needed break from touring, David composed much of the music on "Winding Down" over a six-week period. Every song is designed with purpose—to be both melodically pleasing *and* surprising. While the overall tone of the album is dark, the music is thoughtful and prayerful, a soulful yearning, and music to comfort you in difficult, trying times.
