"Moonshine on the Mountain...The Musical" is a musical theatre piece set in 1950, way up in the hills of Appalachia, deep in coal mining country. Each of the 19 songs are a short story within themselves that continue to move the overall story of the play along. Country/Bluegrass carry the overall theme of the album and the sound is full of fiddle, banjo, guitar, and mandolin, with a touch of dobro and harmnonica thrown in. Lots of vocal three part harmony on several songs. Listeners can envision and journey through the play simply by connecting the dots from song to song. The story offers a glimpse into the souls of each character and gives encouragement to the viewers and listeners in ways that remind ourselves not to forget to BIG !!
