London Musical Theatre Orchestra - GEARHEADS The Musical (London Studio Cast) (CD)

GEARHEADS The Musical takes place at an auto repair shop on a Saturday, when the shop's owner and service manager are away, leaving the mechanics in charge of customer service (bad idea). With too much time on their hands, the guys turn the shop into a pseudo frat house, and are less than thrilled when their girlfriends and wives show up. The one customer who manages to get waited on finds that getting her tire patched is a day-long ordeal. Along the way, she finds love, a young mechanic finds a sense of belonging, and the men and women confess that they secretly love each other's faults and foibles. This "perfect, imperfect" day turns out to have been well spent.

The tuneful score is written in the style of the Golden Age of the American musical, and performed by a talented young cast, many of whom have West End credits. Backed by the spectacular 25-piece London Musical Theatre Orchestra under the direction of Alfonso Casado Trigo, and powered by Simon Nathan's stunning orchestrations, this album will take you back to the days when you left the theater humming the show's songs.
