"Shot Down in Flames"
The Explosive Debut of Canadian Hard Rock Trio SANTERS
Fresh off the road and bursting with raw energy, Canadian hard rock trio SANTERS charged into the studio to record their debut album, Shot Down in Flames. Featuring Rick Santers (guitar/vocals), Mark Santers (drums), and Rick Lazaroff (bass), the band laid down the record in just one week – capturing the intensity of their live shows.
Released in 1981 across Canada and Europe, Shot Down in Flames delivered instant classics like "Time After Time" and "You Turn Me On," cementing SANTERS' place in hard rock history. The album kicks off with a fiery cover of "The Rapper" (originally by Donnie Iris and The Jaggerz), while the title track pays tribute to the legendary Bon Scott of AC/DC – a fitting homage from one powerhouse act to another.
Now, with "The Definitive Remasters," fans can experience SANTERS’ music as it was always meant to be heard: louder, sharper, and more explosive than ever. Every track has been meticulously remastered to match the band’s original vision – so turn it up and enjoy!
Produced by Bob Connolly • Engineered by Paul Massey • Recorded & Mixed at Masters Workshop, Toronto, Canada.
