Tori Sparks - El Mar (CD)

‘El Mar’ was Tori’s first studio collaboration with flamenco fusion trio Calamento and guitarist El Rubio, blending the genres rock, blues, folk, country with flamenco to create a signature sound unlike anything else out there. Combining songs from the American, Latino, and Spanish songbooks with original compositions, what started out as a side project turned into an international success. “Tori Sparks is a courageous woman... Her new album [El Mar] is evidence of the tendency to push the envelope that has continually marked her career… here she has taken an important step into the unknown.” –Rolling Stone (Spain)
