Originally released independently in 2005, 10 Good Reasons to Move is the debut full-length album from Ottawa, Canada’s Viscera’s Recital. Recorded in late 2004, the album captures the band during its original run, blending melodic post-hardcore and hard rock influences across ten tracks. The record helped Viscera’s Recital build a following throughout the mid-2000s, alongside shows with bands including Sparta and A Static Lullaby and an appearance on the Ernie Ball Stage at Warped Tour 2004. More than twenty years later, 10 Good Reasons to Move has found a completely new audience online, with a resurgence on Spotify, TikTok and Instagram bringing the album to listeners who weren’t around for its original release. This reprint celebrates both the original record and the unexpected second life it has taken on all these years later.
